Hi everybody and hope your keeping well. It has been once again too long that I posted. RL has once again been hectic but as you shall see below we have still been able to keep the shop updated over Chrissy and the New Year.

I wont go on too much as I am sure you would like to look at the pics of the delicious designs we have waiting for you at our store and in the Marketplace. The pictures really do speak for themselves so no description is really needed.

I have started firstly with this weeks Free preview gift. This can be picked up (free :-)) for a few more days yet and is a complete outfit, shoes and all. Followed by the free outfit is a sample of the new outfits to be got and I must also add some instore favourites have also been updated to include extras, so worth a look there too. G&N New Free Preview Gift

It really has been too long and I hope you are all well and happy.
I was away on my holiday, overseas, for 4 weeks and since getting back have just found such little time on my hands for SL. There have been some changes with shifts for my RL job and as we near Christmas RL seems to get more hectic. Still I shall not complain as I still found some time to design so it cant be all that bad :D

Our free preview gift is out and will be so until the 7th of December. Its a cute outfit that shall be a great addition to the inventory. Pretty floral appliques to the undertop and jeans and the little cardigan jacket to finish.

Inspired by a show I am watching atm in Australia (I think those who are watching it might know which one I am talking about :-)) I couldnt resist making my version of some of the lovely dresses from the 20s and 20s era. A gorgeous vintage feel to this complete with a cloche hat and choker this is a must have. Hello there everybody and hope your keeping well. Once again Real life has kept me away from blogging as much as I would like but I do have some new designs to show you.
Starting with the free preview gift which is called Chanelle it consists of a pair of High Waisted Denim Shorts which has layers with the options of a textured belt or without, leg cuffs, a lovely and colourful halter top and scuffs.

We have also added to our Hippy clothing collection. Hippy Fever 9, 10 and 11 are in a dress set and pantsets. The trio are very happy looking and perfect for the "peaceful people" :-)

Hippy Fever 10 comes with earrings whereas Hippy Fever 9 and 11 both come with a Necklace. Of course both have many other inclusions making these quality designs a great price.

Free Preview Gift and some News from G&N

Hello everybody and hope you are keeping well. Its been an exciting time here at G&N because not only do we have some lovely new designs (seen below) but we have also been preparing to offer our customers copy versions of our designs. We only ever offered transfer in the past with modify rights but we feel that copy and modify should be available as well so Georg set to busily making the vendors which have the added bonus of being able to gift items as well to people in SL. We are in the early stages of putting all the vendors up, its a big shop with loads of designs to changeover but each day the items available for copy will increase. We hope this will be of some added convenience to our customers, both present and in the future.

We have a bumper one this fortnight. The ultimate Swimset which is fitting for this time of year in the northern hemisphere :-)
We have included in this set a full onepiece swimsuit, a Bikini, sarong, Towel for over the shoulder, flip flops and a hat (not pictured).

Lots of new designs happening

As you can see we have been keeping busy with new designs as well as preparing for the addition of the vendors that will enable you to be able to buy Copy versions as well as gift designs to another person.

Below in 4 lovely colours we have a very retro styling dress with a 50s feel. The fascinator, sleeves and shoes are included and this is a must for that special vintage feel.

A rather unique looking Dress this is a very stylish outfit. Lovely for that lunch date and classy enough for the drink at a bar after work. This has two sleeve attachments as well as shoes and prim Belt.

A sweet outfit for these warm days. Lovely floppy hat to protect you from the sun :-), shoulder and shorts cuffs are included.

For an earthy country girl look we have Jessica. The hat is included as are the shoes, cuffs and shirt knot. This is in multiple layers giving flexibility to your wardrobe.

Lots and Lots of new Designs :-)

Hello everybody, hope you are all keeping well. I havent blogged for a few weeks as we have been so busy. We have given the shop inworld a facelift and it is absolutely looking great. I will try to post some pics soon. In the meantime we have also been busy in between with designing. We have done lots actually and there is a mixture of New skins, career, formal, summer dresses, babydolls and vintage styling. I will post all the design pictures below and you can look through and see for your self what lovely quality bargains have been added to our designs.

Starting with a lovely evening pantset we have Zara which is lovely when you are not wanting to wear a dress.

Next we have 5 new skins to our range and these go by the name of Selena. Dark and light brows are included as well as an option to wear pierced or unpierced nose and belly. Alpha make up is included should you wish to wear the makeup with another skin.

Our Olicia Jeanset is next with sculpty cuffs to the shoulders. This comes in 2 colours and is a lovely summery set.

Our Franca BabyDolls come in 4 springtime colours and is a lovely addition to the casual wardrobe. Slip on heels are included with this.

Our gorgeous Erica Cocktail dress line is a perfect addition to your formal wear. A touch of vintage 20s here the shoes are included. 6 Colours are available here.

Dominique is a pretty little sundress that comes in 4 gorgeous pastel/citrus colourings. There is a belted and unbelted version and the hat and shoes are included.

For our careerwear customers we have added 4 colours of the Ashanti Pantset. Tweed pants set this off and its a lovely addition for the business person in Secondlife.

Its all about colour...so I say!

That is right, Spring is all about colour and pastels are no exception. I have had a feast of colours included into my designs these past couple of weeks and feel really refreshed from using them. I even doodles away with some of the textures and was pretty happy with what I came up with. The 5 designs below are new and available now inworld and the marketplace. Jasmina is a simple but elegant straightline dress which comes with a sculpty breast bandana. Of course the dress is done so it can be worn without this piece. The shoes are also included and did you know, as they are modify you can select the sculpty feet and toes and nails seperately and color pick a colour to match your skin. Simple! I will look to doing a small tutorial on this very soon. You can also modify the shoe colour. This is the good thing about having modify items. Satina is a pretty empire style summer dress. Frilly sleeves add to the appeal of this flowy dress and featured are pretty floral appliques. Again a lovely colour for spring and summer.

Shari Jeans set gives a nice airy fresh look. This colourful top wears well with the plain white jeans. A frilled tummy ruffle and slip on heels add to the complete outfit. All layers included making this a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

2 Katy sets below come with Pants and a skirt. A colourful cardigan which can be worn with or without a modesty top that is included. Textured belt making this a one size fits all, sleeve cuffs and slip on shoes are included.

Dont be late for the Ball!

Hi everybody and hope all is well.

Georg commented to me the other day that my thread I wrote a couple of weeks might sound contradictory now with these new dresses I have made :-) I was talking before about not making many designs with different colours available. Believe me, I still feel that way if the design doesn't warrant it but this is just one dress i could have played with colouring for hours and hours and hours! I had so much fun making this set that I really am not sure that I have finished with the colour options :P

If you would like to feel like Cinderella at the ball then one of these has to be perfect for you. The colours look so gorgeous together, although I did do two in more staple colours of black and red to suit the customer who doesnt like too much "pretty" As I have often said, IN SL we can wear things we would love to have in RL or even what we would never wear in RL. This gown is no exception and is a perfect buy. As always the layers are all in flexible layers and modify and transfer are the only way.

Going Pretty with Jeans

For a while now I have been playing with the idea of whether or not to offer single items for sale. Jeans, tops or pants etc. As we have always specialised in pant sets and full outfits mostly I decided ok, maybe the customer may just like to buy a pair of jeans rather than a whole outfit. So we have started out with only 3 pairs of Jeans and the style is cute. In Light Blue, Indigo and Grey they have embellishments printed to them and a tiny unopened fly. nothing too revealing but fashionable. Priced at only L$60 a pair they are a terrific little snap up.

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Shannon Skirt Set and two new designs~

Trying to find a happy medium between RL and SL can be hard sometimes. I love to design and really could sit all day long designing but of course that is just not going to happen. After having a break from SL for a week it was lovely to come online to find two beautiful and kind notes awaiting me. I have to copy them as I am very proud of both Georg and I and where our shop is atm

If you look at my profile you will see that I am pretty new to SL, but I happened across one of your skins on a Valentine's day gift..

OH MY GOD.I was totally blown away by its quality and style. Since joining SL I have gathered literally over 900 skins and I sat down to try them on..I came on yours about 750 skins in (if only I had started from the top instead of the bottom! laughs)

I was SO stunned by the detail and quality, NOTHING else I had come across came close to matching this FREE skin!

Popping into your store was an even bigger surprise you are definitely one of the best designers I have seen so far in SL, and I had to take a moment to say thank you for your quality of work. I now own 5 more of your skin packs beides the valentine's day freebie, and everyone that has seen me so far in your skins LOVE it and I tell em where to go to buy one of their own!

It takes time and dedication to keep a shop running in SL and with so much competition on the rise its actually a bit of a triumph to have a shop running for more than 2 years for most nowadays. In some of the groups I belong to I get to observe many conversations and notices and I always feel a little sad when i see a "closing down" shop sale because I wonder if its been because of the competition in SL fashion or something in RL that has happened to take them from this commitment. And it really is a commitment because as you get more popular it is expected you will have a good change over of clothing designs etc so your loyal customer isnt seeing the same old thing each time she/he visits. Sure, I could do what many designers do and offer many of the same design in lots of different colours to make the shop look refreshed and full but that is one thing I dont like to do so much with my designs. Some are offered in a few colour options if it will suit the line, others are unique enough to stay as a one off colour and I think this is what sets us apart from most of the other designers because what we do have to offer is a huge range of different styles without the need to bring every one of them out in a Red, black, white or pink, and we work with colours well enough to make our designs quite colourful enough :-)

So, onto the Free gift first, our Shannon Skirt set is a lovely intro to Spring not so far off. The main material is Broderie Anglais which helps set the skirt off into a lovely Boho or Gypsy girl styling. A floral Headband is included and as I see in another blog already about this outfit, you could quite easily add a pretty veil and bouquet to this outfit and have a gorgeous wedding dress in this style. The Slip on Heels are included as well as the necklace and as all of our items, it is modify.

Shannon is available until the 6th March 2011 SL time.

Two new designs are also available and are seasons apart but who cares in SL :-)

Judee Leggings set is a colourful outfit for winter or autumn, heck even a cold spring day :-) Lots of accessories included in this one inc boots and hat.

Keesha is a pretty Spring/Summer babydoll arrangement with complimenting Ballet Flat shoes. The Light blue and mint go well together dont you think?

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Sarah B Gown~

So, its that time of the week again and I hope it finds you well. Our new free preview gift is perfect for all of those Valentine occasions coming up. Again we strayed from your Red's and Pink's but did go super formal. Our gown was inspired to me after watching a Sarah Brightman DVD where the gowns she wore were absolutely gorgeous. Thus the design is called "Sarah B" :-)

We are no Jewellery designers by far but when we do try something it doesnt turn out too bad at all. Georg put his sculpty making to work and came out with a lovely set for me to add to this gown. Its very regal looking and I love it. So included in this outfit you will also receive a diamond Tiara, diamond Necklace and matching Diamond earrings. Also included are some pretty slip on heels. I intend to make this gown available in a few other colours but for now this gorgeous one is free for you until February 20th, 2011 SL time.

G&N in V for Valentine’s day hunt

Hi everybody, Its hunt time again :-)

This year for Valentines we are participating in the V for Valentine's Hunt http://vforvalentinebyvalhallaclubsgames.blogspot.com/
You have to seek out the letter V in the stores to find your gift. Ours is simple enough to find and a clue is its near the preview gift :-)

This year we have broke away from the trend of reds and pinks as even though its a traditional enough colour for Valentines Day by the time the hunter gets to our gift they may already be tired of the same old colours. We wont be doing lingerie either, we think that will also be a trend that will be saturating the hunt. What we have gone for is something that is chic, stylish and can be worn on many occasions. Its a cocktail style dress complete with Hat, shoes, underchest sash, ruffle prim to the edge of the skirt and a sculpty necklace. The shoes come with a hud to change the skin colours and nail colours and also to resize, it however does not change the shoe colouring or texture.

So here is a preview of our gift which shall be available to hunt for from the 1st February until the 28th.

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Mariah Jeans Set and a new design~

Well its time for our new fortnightly preview gift to be put out. This fortnight is a stylish Jeans set. As always, so many flexible layers are included, even allowing you to wear the jacket and undertop in one layer saving you layers for your other clothes. The undertop is included for modesty around the belly and the jacket is a pretty in pink short blazer style.

There are two pairs of jeans included here, one has some rips for a more urban look and then there are the jeans without the rips. Both have a lovely textured belt to add the realistic charms without the need for a prim belt that may float around the waist looking quite silly really. So this is a one size fits all kind of belt :-)

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Zielda Pant set~

Hi everybody and hope you are well. We do hope you had a brilliant Christmas and was able to enjoy the time with family.

We have had a little rest too and with the new year coming up we are ready to bring you lots of new designs.

Our last preview gift of the year is Zielda. A soft pink sweater with deep plunging neckline and a modesty undertop has been included for those who like to cover up a bit more ;-)

The pants are a lightweight denim with a crease complimenting the front and this set comes with silver ballet flats to complete the look. Lots of layers included for flexible wear this is available until the 10th of Jan, 2011.

Real life meets Second life and brightly sparkles :-)

Hi everybody and hope this finds you well.

With the bells of Christmas tinkling closer and closer I find myself always leaning towards colour and sparkle. As seen in my last few designs I have gone for brightly coloured textures and the Jeans set below is no exception. This brightly striped Cardigan is inspired from real life. It is a replica of a Cardigan I picked up in Germany and I love it. The moment I saw it advertised on a Billboard I knew I had to have it and like in SL, the price was a bargain.

Nikki (named after moi :-)) Jeans set also consists of a casually stressed out pair of jeans and a ribbed halter top to wear with the set. Both the cardigan and top comes in multiple layers to mix and match as you choose. There are also sleeve prims included.

Another Brightly coloured Jeans set, Agnes, is a pretty strapless top with a sheer overlaying top which can be worn combined or seperately. Lots of layers again for flexibility. The jeans have a little bow tied to them and the more daring girl might wear the sheer overtop alone :-0

Moving along to the "sparklies" I decided to do an outfit in two colours that have the option to be worn as a pantset or skirt set. I was aiming for the modest clubwear look or an evening out on the town with that special someone. The top with the textured belt is supposed to be worn with the pants and the unbelted one with the skirt to give the appearance of a dress. Of course you can wear as you choose and as always there are many layers for flexibility.

As seen the skirt is a sculpty skirt which has a much better appearance than the system skirt and movement for this style of attire is much nicer. The rear of the top cascades into some folds and really has a lovely realistic look.

As we have been so busy catching up after our holidays we havent had as much time to design 25 items for the calendar so what we have done is split the items of each outfit up into parts so that each day you come in to get a little more of that particular outfit. So basically, if you would like the complete outfit you need to come in on each new day to collect a part. The window of the day shall only be open for 24 hours and if by some chance you do miss out on collecting a particular piece of an outfit it will be for sale on the following days after for only $20 per window item (s) missed. Just send Georg or I an IM and we can get it to you.

Well its time again for our involvement in the wonderfully huge Peace on Earth 3 Gridwide hunt which is a Christmas time annual event. There are some wonderful designers involved and the organisers have worked so hard as usual to get this up and running. We are proud to be a part of this hunt and almost missed out due to me being away and missing the deadline for the applications. Thus, we are the last shop in the hunt but would like to thank Sequoia for letting us join even though it was late :-)

Our contribution to this years hunt is a follow up on last years theme we did which was peace. Hippy Peace in fact!

I am not taking any credit for this outfit. My gorgeous partner in crime made this himself and I feel its a wonderful piece of work that makes you feel very happy to be wearing. Thankyou Georg for taking this workload on this year and coming up with an amazing outfit.

Not forgetting some winter warmth we have a set of not one but two lovely sweaters with Penguin appliques on the front. Pink and Blue with matching Berets, sleeve cuffs and collars these pair up wonderfully with that pair of Jeans sitting in your wardrobe.

Another leggings set on offer following the huge success of the Jaynie Leggings set is our "My lovely one" set. Slightly different as we have used a sculpty skirt to blend the appearance of this dress it also comes with Ballet flats, sleeve cuffs and multiple layers for flexibility. The colours of Plum and blue are gorgeous together making this a must have for your wardrobe.

Diora is a fashionable shortset that is great night club wear or simply casual fun. Its sparkly shorts and shiny top will sure turn heads as you hit that dancefloor. Slip on heels are included.

As we heat up here in Australia the good old maxi dress is back in fashion for our summer and I am sure will be all over the world when summer hits different countries. It was a hugely popular dress last summer. Ours has the option to be worn in three ways. Snuggly Warmth for Winter!

This year we decided we had to have Cardigans and Jackets made from Prims, sculpty prims to be precise. We hope they prove popular as alot of customers do like the attachments rather than a painted on Jacket or cardigan .. but in saying that, we shall still keep to that line of designing as there as still a majority who do not like the prims.
I was rather chuffed at how the fur Jackets looked and pleased with the result of the cardigans, below are the results.

Dont they look snuggly and warm? :-)
And below we have the chunky knit cardigan with pretty trims.

Both Cardigans and Jackets have a little lace ties to the front for that added finishing touch.

New Designs Ready for Autumn 2010

Hi there and welcome
Its been a while. Real life has been chaotic and trying to get the time for SL was really hard but we are back on board again and have some lovely new designs to start off the Autumn season.
Scarves, hats and coats will be our focus this year and some of our outfits will come with these as a free addition :-)
The first of our design is a lovely outfit by the name of Jaynie. The Leggings outfit comes with a scarf and lovely boots and the top is trimmed with a pretty crochet lace piece.
As always this come in many versatile layers with the options to wear the top tucked in or out.

The following two outfits are also a lovely addition to your Autumn wardrobe. Trixie is a lovely Capri Jeans outfit with either the purple or beige top. The Ruffle on the top is the centrepiece and these come with sculpty leg cuffs and sleeves. Both come with the flexible layers and you can wear this with or without the textured belt.

Lastly we have a new addition to our Hippy Fever series. This series has proved popular indeed and this latest addition we hope shall prove just as.
The dress comes with boots, belts, sculpty collar and a headband. Flexible layers Hippy Fever 7 is a must have for all those peace loving sisters.

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Sylvie Pant set~

Hello, hope your all keeping well.
Our new Free preview gift is up and running and this is a saucy little number but it comes with a sequined bodice so the more modest can cover up a bit more :-)
Many layers here as there is combined and seperates. Great for a night out clubbing this also comes with a silver chained belt. There is a Gold version as well in the shop but this is not free.

So introducing Sylvie Pantset, the silver mesh top has a lush draped look and is halter style. As mentioned there is a sequined bodice to wear and the black pants and belt complete the look. Available until 11th of August 2010 SL time.

I would like to also mention that I (Nikki) shall be away between the 2nd and 10th of August for a much needed holiday. Georg shall be available should you have any queries.

Fun at the Beach!!

Some new designs which were especially made for the Feed a Smile event Fashion shows I decided they should not go back into the inventory to collect dust :-)
They are a selection of Lingerie and Swimwear and I think you will love them.
They are priced very very well and first we shall introduce the Swimwear as seen in the pics below.

Selfia Bikini is a frilly ooh lala bikini here in ravishing red. Frilly ruffles to the top and bottoms and a sarong and straw hat is included in this outfit.

Shine Bikini is a happy and sunny bikini, shiny like the sun and water. with metal rings to trim the bottoms and one to the top this is a head turner at the beach. Sarong and straw hat is included in this outfit.

Uluru Tankini is inspired by the Aboriginal people of Australia with they're famous dot paintings and the great rock called "Ayers Rock" this set shows it off perfectly. Its earthy tones are complimenting with the sarong and straw hat included.

Our happy celebration

July the 20th marked our 3rd SL Wedding Anniversary and we shared the celebration with some lovely friends of ours. We had an Abba Tribute band play and they were terrific as we danced along to concert sound Abba songs. Georg set up a lovely pavillion for us to enjoy and we were spoilt with some lovely presents.

Lagu Indigo gave us a beautiful performance of her Angels and Lights show. I was once again enchanted by this beautiful show. Thankyou Lagu for your kind help in making it a magical evening.

Today at 11 AM SL Time our first fashion show for the Feed a Smile event will take place. Those involved in the planning and implementation of the shows are very excited now, and fashion show manager Mellificent Juneberry has all under control wonderfully. She was extremely busy over the last few weeks. There will be 5 shows in the next days, here are the schedules for the shows.

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Angie Pant set~

And now for the free preview gift :-) You know..I just thought about it..as I write entries into this blog..its all published back to front..my first entry which was about the Gypsy skirt appears as my last entry and this one which I am writing last appears first :-) So if a reader gets a little lost or confused on some of my wordings they shall now understand :-)
We went back to Pantsets this week and Angie is a lovely earthy olive with florals.
The pants are highwaisted and the shirt has a lovely sweetheart neckline with sleeve cuffs.

I just wanted to slip this in here as its been playing on my mind whether or not this would be a good direction to go along. I am thinking of doing a small corner in the store (somewhere :-)) with a few clubbing outfits. As we are predominantly a modest and realistic designer with a loyal customer base who come to us specifically for these looks we dont want to jeopardise that. Of course this will still be our mainstream look and design, the club wear is just a little side project I am interested in. The club wear shall be of classy style of course, just a little more daring. Anyone reading this, I would love your thoughts. You can either leave a comment below or IM me or notecard in world.

Cute Freckles

4 new skins added this week.
Actually these have been in my inventory for a few weeks and needed only some final tweaks :-)
I decided to give freckles a go. I gave up trying to put them over the body in the end as no matter what they always had a blurred and stretched look giving the appearance of me getting over some rather horrible skin disease. I was pleased with the results on the face though so if your after a freckled look all over the body, then these are not for you. Depending on the interest in these ones I endeavour to play with makeup colours in the future.
So, the skin tones shown here are in the lighter cream colour but there is Tan also available in our store.
Of course demos are available and these skins also come with a shape if you so wish to use.

Two Stylish new outfits

Hi there and hope your well :-)
I managed to find time to do two new outfits for this week as well as get the skins finished. Both these lovely outfits have a stylish look and can be worn formally or as casual chic.
Gloria Pantset comes in Highwaisted buttoned pants in a beige and the floral off the shoulder top in a summery peach colour. It has two attachments, the sculpty off shoulder prim and the neck scarf. Our Charity Designs for Feed a Smile 2010

As you know LLK in conjunction with G&N Quality Design are holding an event in July called Feed a smile.
More can be found at the official blog of Feed a smile http://feed-a-smile.blogspot.com/ where we have showcased many of the sponsors involved and for general information and a calender of events.

All proceeds of these outfits go to feed a smile where the money shall be used for meals for the school children in Kenya. The skins come with these outfits to add the finishing touches to the African themed designs.

My lost friend

I wasn't going to post about this but sometimes it helps with the grieving process. I am shattered atm as my beloved pet dog of 15 years passed away with congestive heart failure nearly 3 days ago. Bridie was my baby and went everywhere with me on my travels, house moves, and in life. She was a gentle natured dog who loved nothing more than to be around people and being loved which she was, deeply. She loved her walks, the beach, her food and company and will be missed forever. Its heartbreaking to go through losing a loved one whether it be a pet or human and this is the first time I have had to go through this. We buried her in the back garden in a peaceful corner that she liked to lay in sometimes in the hotter weather. Something I found on the internet today is this...

When you're close to an animal, the mourning process is the same as it is when you lose a human companion. Don't let anyone tell you your grief isn't real or is somehow trivial because you lost a dog rather than a human friend.

The last summer with Bridie where she enjoyed "pool therapy" to ease her athritis and where we had the chance to have some quality time together.

RIP Bridie, you will be in my heart forever xxxx

Soooo two new designs for you this week. We have a lovely formal pantset and a casual short set.

Firstly the pantset comes with 2 shrug cardigans in Black and Gold and has a lovely bustier top to compliment in pink. I was unsure how well these colours would match and was delightfully surprised. The pants have bootleg cuffs and floral appliques to them. Perfect for that night out for women who dont want the flexi prim skirts puffing around them. Jewellery is from ByKay designs and comes in a lovely set. Her shop is worth checking out as she also has lovely shoes.

Coco shortset is a simple addition to the wardrobe for summer. Denim cutoff shorts with a "Zebra" patterned top with sculpty tummy prim for the added length.

Fortnightly Preview Gift ~Bridal Set~

Hmmm, seemed to go a bit mad on white this week :-) Admittedly this design has been sitting in my inventory for a few weeks and we have brought it out now in celebration of Georg's and my 3rd SL Wedding Anniversary.
Called appropriately G&N Bridal set this is a lovely wedding gown which includes, prim skirt with lace overlay and train, stockings, beaded bodice, gloves and floral wreath sheer veil. Even if you may not have any foreseen use for a wedding gown we have made it transfer so you may gift it to someone who may :-)

~Past, Present & Future~

Hi everyone and hope you are all well.
A new week starts and what an emotional past week its been. (Unfortunetly, maybe) I am a person who tends to sometimes see the glass half empty rather than half full which is why my partner and I seem to walk hand in hand quite well. He is a more "glass half full" kind of guy so we compliment each other quite well (believe it or not :-)) with opinions and ideas. He can see the upsides to all as much as I can see the downsides but this is not to say I am a negative person because frankly I am not, just in some situations I tend to try be a little more prepared for disappointments or something that might not be achieved so when it comes to the crunch I am not so hurt or sad.

On that note I must mention this very true quote by JFK "those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future." So this is something I intend to try to do a bit more :-)

Our Jennifer 20s dresses was a line I never saw in the future as being as successful as it has been. Another addition was on the cards for sure. Originally it was only available in red and was introduced as a weekly free gift, it was a big hit and if I remember right it appeared in many many blogs. So it felt only natural to bring it out in black. We did that with a longer skirt. Then came the gold followed by the blue one in a slightly different looking skirt and we decided that both skirt lengths should be included in all as well as shoes. Our latest addition is in white and is so soft and fluffy looking. It has the gold specks through it and the picture does it no justice. As a lover of white clothing in RL this has turned out to be my favourite. Both length skirts are included, Charlston style pose and cigarette, Stockings, shoes, beads and head dress.

Feed a Smile 2010 :-)

Hello everyone and hope you are all well :-)

A friend of ours, Brique Topaz, who is also founder and CEO of the real life charity organisation called "Live and Learn in Kenya e.V" (abb:LLK) has asked us to hold this event to raise funds to raise money to help feed the children of Kenya.

LLK is based in Selb, Germany. It is the parent organisation to LLK International NGO and is a registered non-profit charity organization.

We are seeking donations of possibly "one off" designs (although we would be grateful for any donation) for the feed a smile event that can be sold and 100% of the proceeds sent to the charity.

Special Vendors will be given out to the donating content creators from the 2nd week in June in which they can place the donated item, with the permissions of their choice, and the picture and a LM and info about their business.
The Vendor is then rezzed at our event place. Whenever somebody makes a purchase the money will go first to the owner of the vendor but because the split will be set to 100% the amount will then automatically be transferred to to Brique Topaz for the charity funds.

This event shall be held from 10 July until the 18th July 2010, and during these days we shall have some full on games entertainment, sales, fashion shows and live entertainment (U2 in SL is performing :-)). Every L$100 raised is enough to give one child one meal, they have around 500 children in this project.

We would really appreciate your support and understand you are very busy but this is a very worthwhile event and whilst we cannot offer you anything back in return except some publicity (Your name shall be placed at the event as a supporter and in blogs) you can take satisfaction in knowing you have helped "Feed a smile"

I do hope you are all well and having fun.

We have some new designs, a formal gown collection and a shortset.

The formals are a gentle looking design with a slightly transparent prim skirt. The top has some lovely shining to it and a pretty trim along the deep cut chestline. Its probably not for the modest minded but truly looks classy on. The rear is a strappy cross over and the skirt has a lovely flex to it.
All layers included for flexibility this is gorgeous number.

Below are the Pearl, Indian Red and gold colours, the Misty Rose is offered as a fortnightly preview as seen above and will be put to sale after that.

And below we have the Sondra Short Set. Its a highwaisted short but doesnt have to be worn as such as there are multiple layers to mix and match as you desire. Sculpty cuffs for the shorts are included.

Whats in a name?

I am sitting here chuckling to myself at the moment.
When we first started designing we would name our outfits by how they appeared to us, to name a just a few we had outfits called Asian Dragon, Purple frenzy, Pink Blossom, Flaming blooms (which still exists) and even poofing flowers! These were not very appealing names but at the time when you looked at the outfits they were appointed to you could probably see why they were named as such :-) I think Georg, my wonderful husband and business partner was always waiting in anticipation to see what my next outfit would be called, a little bit like our skins at the moment :-) He will do the sellboxes and the other week he was doing a set and asked what the blue would be called and I said "Beautiful Blue", ....."and the Green"? he enquired, "Well honey, Gorgeous Green of course!" I responded, ..... "Uh huh" was his reply :-0 See...Nothing fazes him! LOL..its like old times!

Over time this way of naming outfits became a little hard because how many outfits could you call "Loopy loops" or "Blowout bubbles"! :-) (Dont worry, we weren't that bad! :-)) so we adopted the normal way of naming designs in SL and started to use "Real" names. I have a webpage bookmarked of all babynames and I use that when I am stumped for a name of an outfit we design. I try to research the origin of the name to make sure I am not translating my new outfit into "beware of doomsday" or something terribly equal but sometimes I have just allocated a name to the outfit without research to be delightfully surprised later on to learn the name is a perfect match. Mayaka Beck, a fellow blogger is a beautifully curious young lass :-) She is always researching for her blog and is eager to learn. She is godsend when it comes to learning about my outfits, interpreting them and almost writing an encyclopedia about them :-)

So I have strayed a little here, gosh, me and my ramblings :-) So the name for the outfit I am about to introduce? Nicole. Yes, simply, Nicole :-) Whilst wondering what this lovely outfit should be named it occured to me I had never used my own RL name so there you have it. Nicole Pantset and while I am at it, Nicole is of greek origin, and its meaning is "People of Victory" Hmmm, well dont know it matches this outfit because I didnt research it beforehand but I like it :-)

Nicole is a lovely berry coloured designer top with cross over back, and highwaisted white pants with subtle pinstripes to match. There are rhinestones trimming the neckline of the top and a textured belt. This comes in various layers for flexiblility. Priced at L$90 its an absolute quality bargain.

BTW, did you know Nicole has 50 variants to the name? :-)

New skins for you :-)

Hi everybody and hope your all keeping well. We have another set of skins for you and these are a colourful makeup statement. I must add, we are delightfully surprised how our skins are selling. We are not a big skin retailer by all means and there is such competition out there but when it comes to a skin that still has quality and good looks at a very reasonable price it shows there is a place in the market after all. Soooo....our set, Calypso states Fun, bold and summery. The pics below are showing them in the cream tone and they are also available in Tan for those wanting a slightly darker skin. All come with Dark, medium and light brows to suit haircolours as well as the standard Pubic hair and bare, a shape is included and Demos are also available.

This one is my own personal favourite thus, Nikki's Pick. It is a lovely makeup and can be worn for evening or daytime. The silver and pink are a lovely combination. Tan Tone is available as are all the standard inclusions. Demo is also available.

Last but not least we have a rather scary looking one. I couldnt resist seeing how I would go to make a Vampire/Gothic skin and I am happy with the outcome. I had it mind that it would be more aimed at the Vampire community, In my mind it would be for a Queen of a clan or such leader. Dark Queen is a pale skin with all the normal inclusions, Shape (which is different to the normal shapes included in our skins) 3 different eyebrow colours and the landing strip or bare pubic region. There are no other skin tones at this stage for Dark Queen, I felt it was pale enough without starting to look "too white" and able to retain all the natural shadows, but I could be wrong, I dont have much experience in this look so seeing how it goes I might "play' a little more with this look.

So thats all for now folks in the skin department. I am working on getting some Freckled looks so keep an eye out :-)

We have been busy yet again and have some new designs ready.
Summer wear delights we have done two more shortsets and a babydoll summer dress which is adorable worn.
Firstly we have a pastel Tyedye theme onesy type short/funsuit. It comes with a belt and sculpty leg cuffs as options. Open style rear this is a cool feeling for the beach or casual wear. All layers included for flexible wear introducing Hannah Shortset....

Next we have the Babydoll which goes by the name of Taffia which is Welsh :-) A cool strappy dress which is great for those summer days out and can be worn as casual or formal as you like. We have 3 new designs this week along with the free gift.

Here we have Connie, a capri pantset with a high necked top to suit the more modest. There are floral trims to the top and bottoms. Plenty of layers for flexibility.

Here we have 2 Jumpsuits. a Blush pink and red and these are truly gorgeous on and for that hot summer night date it is perfect. The pants give the illusion of being a loose fitting cloth and the top has a nice transparent neck line. Belt is included with this.

Smouldering Skins

We have been busy this week for sure and have a new line of skins out. These are a more smouldering look in the makeup making them perfect evening wear. I wasn't entirely happy with the beige skins from my last lot, I felt they were rather matt looking so the new replacements in the "Tan" (as seen in the pics below) have had some nice shining added. We are already working on the next line and hope to move the skins to a bigger area as our range grows.
At L$200 you get a quality skin at a bargain price, you get the skin tone of your choice, with or without pubic hair and a choice of dark, medium and light eyebrows to wear. A shape is included as well. All are modify and copy.

New direction for G&N ..SKINS!!! :-)

Hi everybody and hope you are keeping well.

This is an exciting new week for us as we have entered into skin designing. We felt this would be a wonderful addition to the G&N design range because we can offer affordable, lovely looking skins including a shape at an affordable price keeping in line with our pricing policy.

I would like to give Sezmra Svarog a big hug and thankyou for giving us the opportunity to learn from her open source templates. I would also like to thank my wonderful business partner and husband Georg for taking the time to make the lovely sellboxes for me.

The new skins have been lovingly created by Nikki Heron and as mentioned comes with a shape to complete the look as you see it. You will find two skins in all colours, one has the landing strip pubic area and one has the bare pubic area. You can buy the skins for Dark Brows, Medium brows and Light brows to compliment various hair colours.

Both skin and shape are modify/copy for your convenience and may I suggest you do a back up copy if you choose to modify, just incase things go wrong ;-)

Hi there again :-) We have been busy with new designs once again and have 5 new outfits to show. 3 are shorts sets and one dress and one pantset. Something for everyone they are sure to delight.

Lets start with the shorts sets...Firstly we have Hella which comes with sculpty slip on shoes. Its a highwaisted short and would be perfect for the business woman who doesnt have to wear pants or dress as it still affords the modesty needed. The under blouse comes with this set and its all in multiple layers for versatility.

Grace is more casual and comes with a wide floral textured belt. The two toned top co ordinates lovely with the short. Multiple layers again for a flexible wardrobe.

A little more on the patriotic side for "moi" is the 100% Aussie Short set. With Anzac Day coming up I felt it fitting. Flag belt buckle textured to these shorts, Georg has also made a great sculpted slouch hat for this special day which is available at the Anzac Day display section in our shop.

Next we have our Pantset "Elspeth" which is a cream Knit top with matching side buttoned pants. A perfect casual but dressed up enough look this is a winner already. Again it comes in multiple layers and a tucked in look is also included.

The "Isla" Dress is already proving to be popular with our customers. Its a lovely strapless straight lined dress with an asymetrical tip to the front. Black with a white pattern all over this is perfect for semi casual to dressy wear.

Hello again everybody, Hope your keeping well and had a lovely easter. As many prepare for warmer weather we here in the great southern land are preparing for our colder weather which again brings about the challenge of designing clothes that feel strange to imagine wearing :-) All designers are letting loose with spring releases where I imagine the Autumn hues and tones and styles. But, I didn't give into temptation and have designed a flowery springtime outfit for our free weekly preview gift along with 2 new designs.
Erin is a skirt set with a flower featured top and comes in all layers for flexibility. Shoes are included and it is available for free until Sunday 11th April SL time.

Another colourful outfit is Amelia Jeans set with purple toned jeans that have a textured belt revealed when the top is worn in short style and a sky blue top. Again all layers available. Boots are Komplimente von Georg :-)

Ok, maybe I did give in a little to Autumn tones here, we have a lovely gold off shoulder top and red capri jeans. Textured belt upon the top and sculpty cuffs for the capri's.

A gorgeous new weekly free preview gift is available now in gorgeous hues and tones that contrast with the white pants very well. The top can worn short or with a tucked in look and the pants have a textured belt. An added touch to the pants is a textured belt loop dangler. Georg has made some lovely Ballet flats which are included in this outfit and he really is enjoying and learning from his shoe making experience.

Flexible looks for your Spring & Summer wardrobe

Hi everybody
Some new designs added to our shop for that lovely spring feeling. We have gone from urban to feminine with these looks and the tops in a pack of 4 should be a lovely addition to your wardrobe.
Roberta is a lacy cami top that can be worn tucked in or out with these lovely charcoal pants to match. The pants have a textured belt to finish and the whole outfit has a lovely feminine feel, Its a sure winner on those warm days out.

Shari is a more urban edged outfit. The cargo pants have a military feel with the camo print and the green tops match in perfectly. Pair them up with your best hiking boots or such to complete this look and feel.

Weekly free preview Design ~Carmel~ and some new designs :-)

Hi there everybody
We are a little late this week announcing the free gift but for those who haven't got the chance yet, you have until Sunday morning :-)
This weeks its a lovely knit dress with the option to wear with or without the shirt so it has a nice business feel to it. The belt and stockings are included as well as the gorgeous slouch sculpty boots with buckle and which I am proud to say were made by Georg. He put so much effort into these and considering shoe making is not our forte the result really is gorgeous. We are very proud of them and I am sure you will enjoy wearing them.

2 more designs as well are the Cleo pantset which brings some animal out in you :-) The leopard print overjacket can be daringly worn alone or with the gold boob tube underneath which affords modesty. All layers possible for this the shoes are included.

Lara Jeans set below is a casual outfit. TyeDye print top and worn Jeans. 2 lengths to this top in all layers possible this makes a lovely outfit for that day out in Springtime.

Hi everybody and hope your well
Our new free weekly preview is up and running and this week its a lovely combination. The purple top has a stunning strappy chest area and is available to be worn long or short. The pants are wonderful high waisted style with sculpty cuffs to match. They are a loose fit pant and I can tell you, Georg worked very hard matching these cuffs to the pant. With all the different lighting situations in SL its a challenge most designers face, to match prims with textured clothes so once again I invite you, if you havent already, to take a look in our Tips and Tutorials section where you can find a really cool setting for SL windlight which makes your ava and clothes look lovely without the need for a face or body light.

Beautiful Pastels for Springtime

Hi everyone
I wanted to try something I didnt really know to do. I wanted to create a graduating colour combination I have seen on many designs. With the help of my beautiful partner in crime Georg (who basically taught me the paint programme) I have been able to design these gorgeous pastel coloured dresses for spring. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get the look but NOT so pleased at how hard it was to match such a simple texture to the prim skirt plus have it blend in with the top :-) Our first attempt looked wonderful on my ava who is an average sized ava, not too small and not too big... but ... (always a catch :-)) when worn by a smaller ava we were informed the texture looked a little strange from the picture on the sell box! Upon investigation we did indeed find that on a smaller ava shape the prim was more visible outside the body than inside! So... not rocket science you say? Well, dont forget, you are reading the words of a person who really finds the prim attachment a pain in the neck most of the time and does not have the patience of a saint, this was definetly another learning curve for us. As all ava's are differently shaped its really hard to design something thats going to suit all, fitting of the prim attachment is always an issue with the different sizes and as in the above lesson, the texturing is equally important. So back to the drawing board we went, (step in Georg who does have the patience of a saint :-)) we were able to fix the texture so it should look good on all ava sizes. In the meantime we have acquired a lovely small shape from a kind customer which we shall use along with our normal shape when texture adjusting prim parts just to be double sure it will look good on both. All in all, we were pleased with the final result and judging from the sales of these dresses we think our customers are too. Included with the dress is a lovely Springtime Butterfly necklace.

Tiffany Babydoll dress has all the available layers possible to make this a very flexible outfit.

And also as an exclusive colour available to our group members only we have a pretty mauve coloured one. This will not be available to the general public and is at a special price of only L$60. Please make sure your wearing your group tag when you purchase :-)

Spring is in the air!

A couple of new Spring designs here for you.
Firstly we have Beverley which is a shortset and ruffled strappy top with long, tucked in and short looks. Textured belt on these denim short as well as prim leg cuffs give this outfit a lovely spring feeling thats in the air.

Maria is a gorgeous and classy pantset for spring/summer. The turquoise blue is a perfect accompaniment for the beautiful and fresh watery backgrounds of SL. Textured gold chains are the feature of this halter top which can be worn long, short or tucked in. The white pants feature a textured belt and the shoes are included.

Our new free weekly preview is out and ready for your enjoyment. This week we have gone for a 3 piece pantset with prim attachments. The look is casual and stylish. It consists of blue Cargo pants with prim cuffs, a crisp white shirt with prim sleeves and a denim vest. Pumps are also included. Our Jennifer 20s Dresses

Our Jennifer 20s line has been very popular so we decided to update it by giving more with it at no extra cost. Normally it only had one prim skirt at a certain length, one had a pair of shoes and some had stockings. Now they all come with 2 prim skirts in 2 different lengths, all come with stockings and all come with pumps. There is also a new Jennifer 20s dress in Blue. The pose, headband and beads are still included in all 4 colours so we do hope you enjoy this line if you havent already

Weekly Free preview Design ~Kafele~

Hello there :-)
Again its our new free weekly preview time :-) I won't repeat again that it comes around quickly ;-)
A sure winner this week is our Kafele Jeans set which ultimately gives two looks. The sparkly undertop is supposed to be more for the modesty factor at the front but we found it looks just as fab worn as a boob tube! The main top comes with sculpty prim sleeves and the look is aimed at "kaftan blouse" Floral suns printed all over and the black jeans team it off perfectly.

3 New designs :-)

Yes! we have been at the drawing board again and have 3 new designs to offer this week. I am always proud and eager to get our new designs out and the first sale always gives me that warm fuzzy feeling to know that someone special in this big world of ours is walking around in one of our outfits. I might also add that within minutes of being put out in the shop for sale and announced to our wonderful groups, we sold one each of the pantsets and 3 of the dresses!

So as seen, 2 pantsets and a lovely dress make up this wonderful trio.

Firstly we have Cordelia Pantset which is, at first glance a rather gothicy looking outfit (I think its the corset) but its not intended to be. On closer inspection you shall see the soft folds and lacy feature of the underblouse and the corset has floral textures printed upon it. The black pants with a textured belt finish this set perfectly and all come in seperate layers to mix and match

The next pantset is Rozella. With its golden and orange tones this makes a perfect summer evening outfit. Quite unique patterning to the top front and rear this is simply a classy pantset for all to enjoy.

Last but not least we have the elegant dress Samsara.
Metallic and pastel tones this is a classic shaped dress with a springtime difference. The seams are effortlessly matched and this is a perfect addition to your wardrobe. I imagine this teamed with a little black dress Jacket or shrug, it would finish the look perfectly.

Every Rose Hunt Feb 2010

The Every Rose hunt is now in full swing as seen below in last weeks entry. I have searched some blogs about this hunt but there is not much out there. Here is a link to one blog that is quite big on hunts and it has SLurls to all the Every Rose hunt locations.

At the landing point to our store you can find, just below the Every Rose hunt sign, a hint giver box. When touched you shall receive a notecard with a hint to where the hunt prize is placed. It is of course inside a rose :-) I believe no one has made finding these roses difficult but I can't be sure as I have not yet had the chance to do the hunt.

Anyway, here is a look at what we are offering as our prize in the hunt.

Odetta is a lovely citrus splashed pantset with shoes and this is just a delightful colour for the upcoming warmer weather. Perfect for the business woman or the woman who would just like to look classy.

Every Rose Hunt

We are on the hunt trail again and the "Every Rose Hunt" begins on the 12th of February and concludes on the 28th.
I will add more information over the next few days.
The object you will be hunting is a Rose of course and this can be found using the Rose petal pathway you will see in our shop. Georg has designed a gorgeous complete outfit for the prize which I am certain all will be very pleased with.

Latest Designs with love!

Hi again, Hope your well and having fun.
We have kept busy with our designing and brought some lovely additions to the shop. Some lovely designs for the upcoming spring/summer and of course something for the still cooler weather for many.
First we have the Blooms dress which is an elegant straightline dress perfect for dressy and casual wear. Beautiful colour matched and florals this is very very pretty on.

Next we have Serenity which again has beautiful colours and texture. Its a shorter dress with a sculpty skirt.

Karen is a classy and dressy looking design perfect for Rodeo Drive shopping or a Summer evening at a club. Shoes with bows are included.

If swimwear is what you are looking for this summer then you can't go past the Frangipani Bikini Set with a sarong and hat to match. All layers are included in this which makes a very tattoo friendly outfit.

Lastly, for now we have of course a winter warmer being the Fantasia Jumper Dress set which included the leggings with frilly lace leg cuffs, arm cuffs to represent puffy sleeves and the belt. Lovely purple this is a winner already.
